Song #3 Animatic
Here's the animatic for song #3, "She's Not Into You!" See the previous post for more details about last week. More animatics coming soon, so stay tuned!
Song #3 will be by far the longest and most complicated song of "Ladies Knight." Enjoy!
The song is catchy and the drawings are fantastic! The camera angles and positioning of the characters seem on target as well. I can't wait till you color everything.
Since this scene is already 2 minutes, I think you have some leg room to cut some out or go ahead and shorten other scenes in your film. This scene feels like a perfect length. But because of time restraints, I might go ahead and shorten the ending with the bear.
I know you won't figure out the entire length of the film until the whole animatic is complete, but considering that all the songs combined measures out to 5 minutes, how much of the movie do you think will be devoted to all the non-singing bits? If you can make it so the singing bits are roughly 5 minutes long, and the rest combined is about 2 minutes for a combined total of 7 minutes, I think you'll be able to pull it off.
Great work, Joe. I think the class had some great suggestions today. I know you are passionate about keeping this song intact. Just keep your "producer" hat on as you plan your schedule. I know you are keeping track of your "Plan A" and "Plan B."
I am really looking forward to this coming to life!

Looks and sounds great! It's stuck in my head!
